some gems I got hold of

been a little free the last couple of day!!! got chance to catch up on a whole lot of things.
one big thing was all the movies I had collected but couldn't watch...

some gems i found
-- Following - Christopher Nolan at his best
-- Tsotsi - I am no sucker for sentimental crap but this one had me running for kleenex
-- Primer - Didn't understand it first time around, had to watch it twice :), but worth every minute

cought it on the theater: the good shepherd, its pretty good!!!

A Clear thin line amidst chaos and confusion!!!

Babel, I had no idea what the word meant. However had been watching the preview of the movie and it seemed decent enough, so just caught up with it. The last time I googled up a word after watching a movie was for the Aviator, when I needed to know exactly what Howard Hughes had been upto.

Now back to the movie; this is undoubtedly the best movie I’ve seen this year. A movie in the same mould as 21grams, Taxi. Starts off at neck breaking pace then settles down to a nice rhythm of chaos.

Brad Pitt’s given a decent enough performance. Credit to the director for not making this a one man show. The story is quite well pieced together. The only loose end I felt, if any was the Japanese connection. It wasn’t entirely needed. However considering he was trying to pass out a message about how small a world, I forgive him.

Chemical Locha

Saw munnabhai mbbs 2 over the weekend...
good fun!!!
worth watching all the locha's the duo comes up with

circuit rox...

audioslave audioslave... what would life be without you

didn't really like it

hmmm...

had been to office yesterday.
wasn't fun...
sunday office are usually just me n my machine having a heart to heart alone.
luckily she wasn't in much of a mood to talk much...
so i packed off and roamed around for the rest of the day

summers definitely coming...
i am not saying it because of the heat;
but definitely all the gals in manhattan seems to be feeling it.

I know, i know... told myself about taking it cool this 3 days...
but i did...
just feeling too lazy to go out anywhere :)

btw will get a haircut today at the mall

yellow scarf...

It was the 3rd day in a row...
She was wearing that yellow scarf, again. I am begining to like yellow scarfs.
I should at least say hi!!!
And I did... surprisingly she sounded quite genuine when she asked how the day was...
The lift ride was uneventful as usual...

I decided I'll take a different train the next day from office... god knows, she'll start thinking I am stalking her or something...

Next 2 days went in a jiffy... didn't see her
Then bumped into her yes'day
gathered all the courage to start a conversation...
sad to admit, but I am not too good with the ladies.
but surprisingly talk was quite easy... it was the shortest lift ride in history of mankind...
also that damn B train which usually takes her own sweet time was there waiting just for us to hop in :(

started talking...
then she said, she's leaving the country, that evening...
maybe i should have asked why???
maybe i should have asked her to keep in touch...
but i didn't

In life, some things are much better when left alone as memories.

I like yellow scarfs.

Faith...

I try, I try not to let you down,
But each time I climb, I push me down.
Change, as I may try,
Still eludes the better part of me.

Since you left me ‘lone, down here in the cold
How lone this eternity feels?
How dark the days be?
I die a lonely death, each day.

I try, I try to smile again,
But each time in the morn’,
The mirror laughs at me
Pointing out the mistakes I made, all the heartbreaks I caused.

I try, I try to change the way I am,
But few things in life you can’t change,
You can’t turn back time,
All the hurt I caused.

There’s only one thing I dare do,
I dare pray for you,
Hope god saves your soul,
Scarred as it was, by the love that you lost.

Rang De Basanti - My Take

Wasn't actually planning on watching this movie on its 1st day.
Amir Khan had left me feeling pretty low with his last movie. Anyway couldn't help it and cought up the rest of the crowd.
Came off with a smile.

Wouldn't say great cinema.

But boy-o-boy did everyone enjoy the movie or what???

So forget what crap people say about the ending being so n so...
Hop on and enjoy the joy-ride...

And Amir Khan rocks!

Two movies of 2005 you might have missed.

The Constant Gardener

Starring Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes, this is one movie you surely ought to regret not watching.

The performances by both Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes are excellent. The relationship between Justin and Tessa came across as very real and touching and it's a testament to the chemistry between the 2 actors. The intimate moments were some of the most realistic I have ever seen of a couple in love.

Fiennes performance is unforgettable. I would have to rate this very close to the quality I saw in "Schindler's List". He demonstrates such a change from the beginning of the movie to the end. He conveys so much with just his face. Justin will break your heart… especially as he gains wisdom.

Rachel Weisz gives a stunning performance as the strong determined social worker. This certainly is one of her best performance, and considering that she hardly ever fails to please this is one big compliment.

Green Street Hooligans

Elijah Wood in a film about street violence and boozing???

One would probably have given it a miss. But By the end of the movie, you cannot help but be left in a trance.
Elijah Wood has definitely done a class act here. However its not only him but Charlie Hunnam and Claire Forlani who impresses with thier acting skills.

The first half of the movie starts off with light hearted humour and goofiness which fades out into more darker and thought provoking drama in the second half.

Dealing mainly with fanaticism of British football FIRM(supporter's group), it makes you think about the violence, camaraderie and what all its worth.
Definitely worth a watch.

Lay me down

God lay me down to rest,
with all these pain in me.

i can't feel no more.
thee love fading out in me.
what do i hold onto?with only darkness around...

lay me down to rest,
for i want to stay a believer.
This shadow over my soul,
i need thy light to wash it away.

Help me stay my faith,
looking into thee, would i like to fade.
